ERCOT publishes the state of the Texas grid every five minutes with no API key.
It shows load against the capacity ERCOT has committed to run, the generation mix by fuel through the day, how hard each fuel is working against its nameplate capacity, and real-time settlement prices at each hub. The page fetches ERCOT’s feeds directly in your browser and re-renders every five minutes; when it can’t reach them it falls back to a snapshot taken when the page was built.
